Cache began his career in the service industry at 14 on his native island of Maui, working his way through every position in bars and restaurants from HI to NY, with only one departure, serving as a proud member of the US Army.

In the early days of his bartending career, he pursued flair bartending, eventually judging some of the USA’s biggest flair bartending competitions from Las Vegas to Disney World.

For Jackie Chan in 2003, he assembled a crack team of Hawaii’s top bar talent to open Jackie’s Kitchen, a short lived venture in Honolulu. This led him to beverage consulting and the world of craft cocktails, igniting the passion for seeking the best possible ingredients for his cocktail programs while sharing the rich history of the American bartender.

He moved to San Jose in 2007, and pioneered SJ’s craft cocktail movement by opening singlebarrel in 2010, which he reconcepted as Haberdasher in 2015.

In 2020, he was chosen as Global Bartender of the Year at the Icons of Whisky Awards by Whisky Magazine, and in 2021 opened a second bar in San Jose. A Johnny Cash inspired concept Cash Only, a West Coast Honkytonk in the middle of Silicon Valley, where his passion for top notch guest experiences lives on today.
