Liquid History Dating Back To 1856
It all started with the limestone spring. First discovered in what would become Weston, Missouri, by Lewis and Clark during their 1804 expedition, a pure limestone spring was a rarity whose potential was recognized by two enterprising young brothers by the names of Ben Holladay and Major David Holladay. After visiting the site, which was then a meat-packing house, the Holladay brothers divined an even greater purpose for that limestone spring: Bourbon.
What does it take to make unique whiskey? How does the Widow Jane team in Red Hook, New York do it? In this masterclass, we’ll look “Inside the Barrel” into the eleven-year journey of Widow Jane and its family of Bourbon. From the gold standard Widow Jane Ten-Year-Old Bourbon to Lucky 13 and the revered vaults, more than meets the eye in how every expression of Widow Jane is made. Between the barrel selection, the famed water from the Widow Jane Mine and our best-in-class blending team we'll dive into what makes Widow Jane so special. Additionally, Ashley will take you into the future with a tasting of the first "Seed to Spirit" creation from Widow Jane, our very own Baby Jane bourbon. After this tasting, you’ll come away from this special tasting with a new understanding of what makes Widow Jane one of your favorite whiskies.
